Q&A with Caitlin Steele, FNP-C
1. What drew you to medicine?
As a kid, I always enjoyed math and science. Often before a doctor’s appointment, I would do my own research and then present a diagnosis and treatment options to my provider. Now, I love when my pediatric patients have lots of questions or input during their visit.
2. What are your passions outside of work?
Family, friends, and my dog (Charlie!). I try to find a balance between work, spending time with loved ones, and staying active. I’ve recently taken up wake-surfing and pickleball!
3. What’s your favorite restaurant?
Anamia’s Tex Mex
4. Who would you consider to be your role model and why?
Betty White – She was hilarious, successful and an early activist for women’s and civil rights.
5. What’s your favorite movie or book?
Harry Potter (both)
6. What makes North Texas Allergy and Asthma Associates special in your Opinion?
The people! We have an amazing team that truly cares about the patients.
7. What do you enjoy the most about being a Medical Provider?
My favorite part of working in the medical field is getting to know my patients, developing relationships with them over time, and seeing them through different phases of treatment.
8. What is the best advice you have ever received?
“Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about”
9. If you could have a conversation with any person or character, who would it be and why?
My grandfather, Joe. He passed away before I was born, so I was never able to meet him. My middle name is “Jo” in memory of him.
10. If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Pizza! It’s a guilty pleasure, but I could eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
