1. What drew you to medicine?
As a child, I dealt with allergies and asthma and was a “regular” at my community allergy/immunology clinic. When I considered my career options going into college, I couldn’t think of a better profession than that of my own allergist: a job that allowed me the opportunity to improve the lives of my patients while fulfilling my passion for the field.
2. What are your passions outside of work?
I enjoy exploring and trying new restaurants with my husband. I also like taking exercise classes, baking, and spending time with my husband and our maltipoo.
3. What’s your favorite restaurant?
As a self-proclaimed foodie, I am looking forward to exploring the Dallas restaurant scene to find my new favorite restaurant!
4. Who would you consider to be a role model and why?
My allergist growing up is one of my role models – he is incredibly kind, patient, empathetic, humble, and intelligent.
5. What’s your favorite movie or book?
Out of nostalgia, I would say the Harry Potter series is my favorite.
6. What was the last TV show you binge-watched?
I recently finished *The Crown* and am now binge-watching *Suits*.
7. What do you enjoy most about being a Medical Provider?
I enjoy spending time getting to know my patients beyond their medical conditions – I learn so much from them every day! It is also extremely gratifying to help make people feel better.
8. What is the best advice you have ever received?
Try to learn something new every day – you are never too old to learn and can never know too much!
9. If you could have a conversation with any person or character, who would it be and why?
It’s hard to choose just one – I would love to talk with Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Princess Diana, and Oprah!
10. If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I love pizza! All varieties: Neapolitan, New York Style, Deep Dish, etc.
