To our valued immunotherapy patient,
We want to take a moment to address how we are handling your immunotherapy during COVID-19. Please note that this is a fluid situation and we will adjust and plan accordingly. To follow the guidelines of “social distancing” we are trying to initiate the IT process prior to your visit to ensure we have enough room in our waiting room.
-
If you are positive for any risk factors, please do not come to the office for the protection of the staff and our other patients. We encourage you to stay at home as much as possible. We strongly believe that the best way to slow down the spread of this virus is social distancing and limiting your time away from home for essential tasks.
-
For the protection of our patients and staff, we require everyone to wear a mask in our office.
-
Please call ahead – ideally 30 minutes before your arrival for an allergy injection. That will allow us to check you in and prepare your allergy injection.
-
If there are more than 4 people waiting, we will notify you of anticipated wait times.
-
For those where there is a possible wait – please call from your car when you arrive, and we will tell you if it is a good time to come in.
-
-
Once you have arrived at our office, please check in with the receptionist so we can let the shot nurse you’re in office.
-
-
Please make sure you have taken your anti-histamine prior to your arrival and follow other precautions as outlined by your allergist.
-
We are wiping down the exam rooms and IT rooms after each visit. We are wiping down the common areas (like doorknobs, check out stations) in the mid-morning, lunch time, mid-afternoon and at the end of the day. We are also using a fogging system to disinfect the entire office at the end of the day. We have temporarily suspended our coffee and snack service in the offices. Please let the staff know if you need anything and we would be happy to provide it to you.
-
Practice good hygiene. To help decrease risk of spreading the infection, please follow the CDC guidelines of washing your hands frequently, self-quarantine when needed, etc. Most importantly, do not touch your face and no hand shaking.
-
We ask that you come alone unless you are a guardian of a minor child. We have limited access to our suite to personnel that need to be in the office. All non-essential persons are asked not to enter the facility.
Thank you for your cooperation, we are trying to maintain a safe environment for all. For more information please visit www.cdc.gov
