Q&A with Taylor Krings, PA-C

What drew you to medicine?

There are so many reasons I chose to work in medicine. For one, I love getting to talk with others and knew a career in medicine would allow me to work with a large variety of people. I also desired a career that allowed me to use my critical thinking skills and be challenged. I think it is fascinating how science is able to impact our health and it is so fun getting to play a role in that!

What are your passions outside of work?

Dance- I grew up in studio dance and taught at my aunt’s dance studio in high school and college

My 2 Australian Shephards

Food! I love going out to eat and trying new restaurants

What was the last TV show you binge-watched?

Handmaid’s tale

What do you do to relax?

Hangout with my dogs

Go on a trip

Spend money on things I don’t need

What makes North Texas Allergy and Asthma Associates special in your opinion?

The people who work there are what make it special and what made me want to come back!

What do you enjoy most about being a Physician Assistant?

I love having the ability to play a positive role in somone’s health and to build relationships with patients along the way. I also enjoy being able to work alongside many other healthcare prossionals and being part of a medical team.

Do you have any allergies?

NONE ☺

What is the best advice you have ever received?

Spend time being present instead of worrying about the future or the past.

If you could have a conversation with any person or character who would it be and why?

The first person that comes to mind is Steve Irwin! He was always a role model for me growing up. I am such an animal lover and was always so inspired by his passion for his career and life.

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

This is hard because I seriously love all food! If I had to pick I’d choose Chinese takeout or sushi.
