PA school: Texas Tech University Health Science Center, Masters in Physician Assistant studies, graduated in 2022
My clinical rotations were almost all in Abilene (I had one rural rotation in Big Spring and one rotation in Frisco)
- My rotations included Internal medicine, family medicine, psychiatry, general surgery, emergency medicine, pediatrics, dermatology, and OBGYN.
- Being in West Texas for my clinical rotations allowed me a lot of opportunities as a student because they are under severed with healthcare providers
Hobbies:
- Dance- I still try to teach when I have the time
- Going out to eat and trying new restaurants
- Spending time with my 2 Australian Shepherds
- Being outside and traveling

Q&A with Taylor Krings, PA-C
1. What drew you to medicine?
There are so many reasons I chose to work in medicine. For one, I love getting to talk with others and knew that a career in medicine would allow me to work with a large variety of people. I also desired a career that allowed me to use my critical thinking skills and be challenged. I think it is fascinating how science is able to impact our health and it is so fun getting to play a role in that!
2. What are your passions outside of work?
Dance- I grew up taking studio dance and taught at my aunt’s dance studio in high school and college

Food! I love going out to eat and trying new restaurants
3. What’s your favorite restaurant?
I have a few restaurants I love in Dallas; The Charles, Drakes, The Mexican, and Hudson House
4. Who do you consider to be your role model and why?
My parents are my main role models. They taught me most of what I know!
Another person that comes to mind is Steve Irwin! He was always a role model for me growing up. I am such an animal lover and was always so inspired by his passion for his career and life
5. What’s your favorite movie or book?
Thriller movies are my favorite genre. Some of my favorite movies include Ratatouille, The Invisible Man, and Bridesmaids
6. What makes North Texas Allergy and Asthma Associates special in your opinion?
The people who work there are what make it special and what made me want to come back!
7. What do you enjoy most about being a Physician Assistant?
I love having the ability to play a positive role in someone’s health and to build relationships with patients along the way. I also enjoy being able to work alongside many other healthcare professionals and being part of a medical team.
8. What is the best advice you have ever received?
The past is behind, learn from it. The future is ahead, prepare for it. The present is here, live it.
9. If you could have a conversation with any person or character who would it be and why?
I would love to talk to Hermione Granger! I would love to hear about all about Hogwarts and what it is like to be a Wizard
10. If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
This is hard because I seriously love all food! If I HAVE to pick I’ll say sushi
